Strawberry Pie

What You Need


For the base

210g Gluten free flour 

130g Ground almonds

Pinch Salt

120g Sugar 

190g Butter 

1 1/2 tbsp Milk 

2 Ground Almonds (optional)

For the filling

450g Strawberries 

1 tsp or a pod Vanilla 

2 tbsp Corn starch 

3 tbsp Sugar

Juice of half Lemon

Handful Crushed almonds

Dusting Icing Sugar 

1. In a large bowl mix together all the dry ingredients

2. Add the cold butter and work it in to the dry ingredients with your finger tips

3. Add the milk to create a wet but crumbly dough

4. Grease a tart tin with butter and dust with some flour and ground almonds

5. Press the dough into your tin and work from the bottom up. Saving a bit of the dough for later

6. Leave to chill in the fridge for 30 mins

7. Pre-heat the oven to 180c 

7. Slice your strawberries into quarters

8. Add them to a bowl along with all the other ingredients for the filling 

9. Add in your filling to the pie base and top with the rest of the pastry mix

10. Sprinkle the almonds on top 

11. Bake for 45-50 minutes

12. Leave to cool and top with icing sugar

13. Enjoy!
